Isabelle began her journey with essential oils in the spring of 2013. This was through workshops that allowed her to learn about healing powers of essential oils, including which ones to use for certain emotional, physical, spiritual or mental issues. She also learned about which oils can be blended together, as well as which ones can be used on your body or face. Isabelle then explored the power of essential oils by using them throughout her home and with her family.
However, it wasn’t until she attended a friend’s dōTERRA Essential Oils class where she truly began to have a growing passion for essential oils. This lead to her studying up on a variety of essential oil companies and eventually attending dōTERRA’s four day yearly convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. The authenticity of dōTERRA and the integrity of its leaders were incredibly important to Isabelle.
Luckily, she found that the company embraced these qualities and was thrilled with what she experienced at the convention. Both the products and the company itself had an air of compassion that Isabelle loved and could relate to. She discovered that dōTERRA extended this compassion to everyone in their business, and highly valued each employee’s personal growth. This was also evident in how the company worked closely with growers from all over the world, ensuring that profits go to those who need it. When Isabelle returned home from the convention, she was enthusiastic and excited. It felt as if she had taken the next step in her journey in the Healing Arts. Why Open a Wholesale Account?
By opening a wholesale account, you become a wholesale member (better known as Wellness Advocate) and you receive wholesale pricing on all future orders. By choosing a starter kit, the wholesale membership fee of $35 is waived. The starter kits I recommend contain the most popular oils as well as a diffuser, the easiest and most effective way to experience the oils.
Is There Monthly Minimum Purchase?
No, there are no monthly minimums. There are rewards and incentives given to members who purchase product monthly, but this is not an obligation.
What Is the Loyalty Rewards Program?
The Loyalty Rewards Program is a smart way to shop. The company rewards its members for loyalty. If you order something each month, you accumulate points. These points can be cashed in for free product. The percentage you earn ranges from 10% to 30% of what you are spending based on two things, how long you have been a member and how big of a kit you initially purchased. Say for example you start with a small kit (The Home Essentials). You would earn 10% back in points towards free product.
After you’ve been with the company for 13 months, that percentage climbs to 30%. So when I shop now, for example, if I spend $100, I am getting 30 points to apply towards additional product. I typically bank my points and then cash them in for the products that I consider to be a treat to myself. It’s a wonderful program that makes shopping for your natural products very cost effective.
I now buy everything for my personal care needs through dōTERRA… my skin care, shampoo and conditioner, soaps, household cleaners, toothpaste, protein shakes, and supplements. (and Christmas and birthday gifts as well!)
Do I Need to Sell Anything?
No, you do not need to sell anything. There is an option to become involved on a business level, but there is no obligation. How Do I Learn to Use the Oils?
There is extensive training offered to you once your join our dōTERRA “team.” We guide newcomers through the process of learning how to integrate essential oils into your life at a pace you are comfortable with. You receive a private wellness consultation after becoming a member; you gain access to our library of training webinars, videos, and podcasts, which can be viewed and listened to from the comfort of your own home; there is a private Facebook group (Minnows) that covers basic product training.
Support and guidance is essential to ensure success when making any lifestyle change. My colleagues and I have teamed up to create a valuable training resource so we can teach you how to safely and confidently use the essential oils you have purchased. We have put together a 10 day self guided virtual training program that we run once a month. Once you receive your oils, you will receive an invitation to join our next training program. There are no additional fees for this service; we just want you to learn and feel confident in knowing how and what to use your oils for. We will cover topics such as Stress and Mood Management; Enjoying Better Sleep; Having More Energy; Controlling Your Weight; Health Supportive Cooking with Essential Oils; and Creating Non Toxic Household Cleaners Using Essential Oils. If I Just Want To Purchase One Or Two Oils, Can I Do That?
Yes, of course. You can go to the site and purchase the oils at retail prices, but you lose out on all of the benefits of a wholesale account. It costs more per bottle and you do not get access to the wide array of training materials and support that are offered.

dōTERRA has put together some great starter kits. I recommend choosing a kit you can comfortably afford and then slowly add more oils monthly to your collection by purchasing them through the Loyalty Rewards Program.
That’s what I did, and it worked beautifully and gracefully. As I learned more and more about all of dōTERRA’s products I steadily grew my oils and other products without being overwhelmed.
